Connecting 2 sites (2km, LOS over private property)

My apologies for asking something that may have been asked before, but 60+ pages here is allot to go through.

As the title says, I want to connect 2 sites 2km apart. There should be very little interference in the spectrums because this is totally in the platteland...

The one site has a pc with internet and I want to connect from the other 1 through this connection.

Any advice on what type of equipment I need and estimate costs? Total n00b at wifi...
 
I was about to say. To get more expert opinion you should ask the WUG guys. They are maestro's at this.
 
Mounted a Nanostation 2 (2.4 Ghz) in a pine tree for my owl webcam fun project ,
connects 10km to a high site above George at full speed 11 Mb/s
So 2 km no problem and even better with 5.8 Ghz approx 1 Gb of images in one week

Sounds all good. I actually have some more concerns. It seems that Scoop only sells to dealers as I can understand from their web-site? Have not contacted them, though.
But, my main concern is, when I got on the roof to see where I would mount the station, I noticed that in my line of sight to the other house, the signal have to cross 3 14'000volt Eskom lines. (Actualy it is one line but it runs in a kind of zig-zag pattern between the 2 houses,thus crossing the LOS 3 times) Does anyone know if the EMI will be an issue?

Sorry forgot to check the forum:
Used a cheap R800 Avtech KPC139B infra-red camera connected to an Axis M7001 video encoder (R3200) that requires an 802.3ag POE injector
The Vivotek is cheaper not sure on the quality

Ask Scoop for a local reseller, that can sell you the kit. I see you are in Hopetown - Hmm maybe someone in Bloem
is a Scoop Reseller
Going thru Eskom lines does effect signal strength, as one Wisp lost a customer due to poor signal strength going thru some HV lines.
Give us via PM or the forum your http://maps.google.com link for the 2 locations use Create MAP and place the 2 points

Steel and pipe in george asks me 289.56 exl vat for 6meter(50 x 2.00mm) galvanised pipe. Is that good? 2mm sounds very thin
 
2mm is too thin. Get 3mm - ten minste.

Even better, if your budget allows for steam pipe, but that's really expensive.
 
Ok the best one that they have is 40mm/ 2,8mm thick galvaniced steel pipe. What do you think about that one?
