hey guys i'm new here and need help.
i cant seem to connect to 10.0.0.2 but i can connect to any other website. i am running windows 7 and my router mega200wr2 is connected via a usb.

please help
thanks

your router may need to be reset.

Try going into ur router settings with another browser

I am assuming that 10.0.0.2 is your router address..
if so, I had a similar problem.
Are you using some kind of bandwidth monitor/firewall?
I use netlimiter, an awesome little app.
The thing is: you have two zones. Internet zone and Local zone.
Somehow the address in the Local zone got blocked. Now I checked the firewall over and over, but I was checking the Internet zone, not the local zone. And since the router counts as local zone.....

I actually sent the router in for repairs:rolleyes:. Setting up the new router I figured out the problem.

yeah its my router address and i disabled my windows firewall, how do you check local and internet?

I see your using Win 7...
Are you sure your firewall is off ? The WHOLE thing.
Also are you running any other internet security suite ?

Other than that, you'll have to fiddle....
I had to learn a new OS: 7 or Ubuntu. I chose Ubuntu.

I've never used a USB modem, so might be a stupid question, but do you access the modem using 10.0.0.2 when connected via USB? I would've thought it's only when connected via Ethernet.

Let me give it a shot again, I have a similar problem:

I go to 10.0.0.2
Type in username and password
And then I just get a blank browser page. It loads the correct page as a blank.
But if I turn the pc on in safe mode, that page that is usually blank, comes up just fine with all my details, speeds and everything. So somewhere, something is wrong.

Any ideas?

Edit: I just realised Bitdefender Real Time Protection (That specific setting) was blocking it. No more safe mode to change accounts anymore :)
