Cybersmart's new ADSL pricing unveiled

Wow massive saving , but in all fairnes , and it has been adressed in many threads , what is the wholesale price , and why is it so high ? Who is this phantom shafting us ?

3GB package unchanged? That's useful...

Sending my cancellation letter today or tomorrow anyways, Afrihost has better value for money.

So with Nightrider you can get around 10-15 GB on a 384 line for around R300. Plusa the stoopid telkom voice line rental.

WHEN is the question though...

Too little, too late...

Actually they have always been the cheapest, and they were the first to hint at adjusting their prices.
Its not little either... still the best value for money ISP out there.

I'll take some Afrihost gigs for their speed/ping but CS still got the cheapest gigs.

When the new pricing kicks in a 384 Kbps DSL circuit (ADSL Access) and 2 GB of data will cost R 175.00, significantly cheaper than Telkom’s R 199.00 for a DSL 384 circuit and a 1 GB data bundle.

Does anyone know if Cybersmart's offering includes 20Gb of local data? I know most people are only interested in international but for me the Cybersmart offering is not "significantly" cheaper at all as I would lose my 10Gb local with Telkom....

Also is it SAIX or IS? The latter is useless for my needs...

EDIT : Oh yes, and of course you need to factor in the R275 once off setup fee that Cybersmart charges! So that negates the minimal saving!

CyberFarts service is crap!

Their pricing doesn't even justify how bad their service is.
And they think this is gna help them not loose customers against the great afrihost deals.

Bwahahahaha.. Bye bye Cyberfart. Goodluck!

I am in no way affiliated to CyberSmart, Afrihost or any other ISP.
I have just had an account with CyberFart before and have never been so shocked at service and treatment.

CyberFart = Failcake! IMO.

I never had to pay a set up fee....

doesn't come with local access. Cool.. basically the price goes up by R6 and doubles capacity :)

If I were an ISP in a pay-per-Gb scenario, I'd be making 3gb on 4mbps cheaper than 3gb on 384kbps. Its fairly likely that the 4mbps is gonna eat up the 3gb quicker than the 384kbps, so then I can sell a top-up :)

Does this mean they are going to force another K@K PTR record advert down our throats ?

At least Cybersmart is reacting to what Afrihost has done, which is GOOD for the consumer! :)

"R 544.00 per month"...plus Telkom 4Mb line lease, brings me close to R1K per month for a lousy 5GB .... uuuugh, I'm not impressed at all.

Nothing for those who don't wanted their line bundled with the ISP.
