Telkom Alcatel MPC850C Router/Modem

I received an old, but working MPC850C ADSL modem from a friend.

However, he has lost the username/password for the setup utility and I cannot change the settings for my account.

Does someone know how to do a "Factory Reset" to reset all settings and passwords to default, or know where I can find a manual?

Any help will be appreciated.

Is there a "hole" at the back where you can push in a paper clip thin-type pin? If like the Mega modems, then you push in a paper clip, hold it in for around 30 seconds and it resets the modem. Default uid/pw = admin/admin.

Thanks for the advice. I have tried it, but it seems the "paperclip" reset for 30 seconds is the same as a power off/power on reset. It does not seem to reset the username/password settings.

Any more ideas?

This should have reset it back to defaults. Try logging in without a password.
 
Thanks to all who tried to assist with this problem.

It seems this may actually be a Marconi modem named "ADSL Router Pots" and not an Alcatel modem. I found the correct info on this thread after some more detailed searching.

Anyway, the paperclip reset did work, but the default username and password are both 'root'.
