Vodacom service disruptions

Another day, another disruption. These things hardly qualify for headline space anymore.

With all the construction and road works happening in and around Midrand, it is inevitable that these breaks would occur

More of that redundant multipath fibre that really all runs through the same pipe. I thought that Vodacom would have learned after the last failure in Midrand and demanded the service that they pay for from Telkom.

i dont believe its just Telkom. they are just passing the buck as usual. their 3G service has sucked chickens for months, I usually have to try 2-3 times to get calls out in peak times.

I think their network just fellover. and I was in Edenvale with no signal either so it was a wide fallout area.

Maybe they should spend even more money on soccer while their apple rots from the core... I'm jumping ship to MTN or Cell-C very very soon.

Rurapente, im jumping from MTN to Vodacom, they cant be worse then MTN. Been with MTN for over 10 years, but enough now, moving all our company phones to vodacom, so far all very happy.

my whole family was with MTN for 13 years. I went to Vodacom for an iphone.

My family NEVER borrows my phone cause there's aint working. I often have to use theirs cause i cant hear people, or my data doesnt work, or i have no signal or this or that. Its rubbish :)

Actually the best "cellphone year" of my life was on Cell-C. I just couldnt take their idiot helpdesk anymore but from a call and data perspective it was solid. And i often had signal where MTN phones didnt.

I guess there's no one perfect. but after 10+ years on MTN, and 2+ years on Vodacom im never gonna touch Vodacom with a 10-foot bargepole again.

Perhaps it was the iPhone ... :)

May be fork out a bit more for a better SLA on the fibre link?

or

Pending a roaming agreement! :D

This probably explains why a call I made on my way home through Samrand dropped [I do not have a 3G phone].

MTN might be decent if they decided to actually get a decent company to fix their billing systems. Whoever they have now are obviously useless. Maybe this would also free up their helpdesk enough to handle their other calls.

Cell

We need a fifth(better) cell service provider....
