South African ‘Broadband Bible’ launched

But doesn't Hellkom.co.za does the same?

But the more sites like that, the better, will ensure that the local ZA population will be bound to find one sooner or later, and get the correct pricing information and the such.

Hellkom.co.za and even adslsouthafrica.co.za does but I believe something that's updated on a monthly basis will simply be better for the consumer. I'm the webmaster of adsl sa and have tried to keep content relating to pricing fresh, but to be brutally honest, it's an uphill battle given the fact that it's simply too much for one person to handle.

I'm going to help distribute as many of "The Broadband Bibles" as possible and remove the relevant data from adsl sa. adsl sa will have more to offer if it focuses on current issues (with a different take on matters), broadband education (if I may), etc.

It will be correct to say that I am a 'convert' at this stage. :)

a great idea! it really needs some fine tuning though

I think an automated system where the ISPs benefit commercially from keeping their product offerings up to date is the best route to follow, but so far I have been proven wrong :(

The threat of comparison to the competition is chilling!! :)

hellkom already has a huge database with pricing on it! Its a copy cat....

I see 'The Broadband Bible' as complimentary, especially if the monthly updates go as planned. Labelling it outright as a 'copy cat' is a bit on the steep side.

Thou shalt not drop prices, thou shalt not have other ISPs before me, thou shalt not steal our cables... ohh wait a bit, that's Telkom, right next to the rules of accusation

How come they don't seem to include any of the Closer plans? (I just did a ctrl-f in the pdf, I didn't read the whole thing)
In another thread on MyBB, someone said if you order your line as closer plan, it's got a free installation. Then you do the self-install and you avoid the whole +/- R1000 installation charge for a new line + DSL.
Surely that is information worth knowing and having in a broadband bible?

Just my R0.02
