Court ruling will prevent Microsoft from selling Word

Wow, that is pretty groundbreaking news (good or bad). I am fairly sure Microsoft will find a workaround, though.
 
They claimed it will take them a very long time to work around this. I think they already have a quick solution just in case they lost.
 
oh the patent thing. i thought the title meant MS won't be allowed to sell off the word software to a different company, which made it sound like they wanted to. oops.
 
But MS Word and Excel are brilliant. Use them everyday for work.

And there would be a lot more brilliant alternatives if it weren't for MS's blatant anti-competitive strategies.

What does this mean? Are they not allowed to sell Word of Office after Jan 11? Until they find a workaround? Anywhere in the world? That's heavy!
 
Which goes to prove that software patents should be abolished and chucked into the rubbish bin where they belong.

Software patents does not work.
 
Yeah, South African market is still free to sell word ye?
