Hey Friends,

As the old year departs, and the New Year arrives, I thought I would make you slightly jeaolous! I am sitting on one of these new Vodacom Business 4096k ALL HOURS Uncapped ADSL accounts as we speak, and am downloading currently at FULL SPEED! Aaahh, th joys of Uncapped!

The thing with Uncapped is, many companies have the strangest rolling windows and funny throttles. The advantage with the Vodacom Business Uncapped account is that Vodacom will have none of that! This is true Uncapped ADSL!

The price is pretty darn good too, considering! Only R2699 incl VAT per month.

OpenWeb will also throw in:

* FREE Setup
* Month to Month contract

Starting your new year with one of these Uncapped accounts will certainly give you a thrill knowing that you never need to worry about your cap again!

Happy New Year!

i thought they've been selling this uncapped now for a while ?

That's better... make those 4meg line owners pay! As I said elsewhere they get speeds of 10 times faster, so they must expect to pay 10 times more!

yep. data travelling through "pipes" are costly.

4mb adsl line rental is not even R100 more than 512kb yet 8 times the value. instead of complaining about it, why not join the club?

Am I the only one that thinks this pricing is insane ?

It will come down, give it a little time. The problem at the moment is everyone that wants uncapped wants to hammer the link as hard as possible, as soon as more people get used to uncapped, their demands will also drop, which in turn will force the prices down...

I want an uncapped line, but I have never used more than 15 GB a month, and that was when I was forced to when I got a 10GB trial from WA and had signed up with Afrihost for a 10GB..

Ja, I don't think is a new price. I think they are just promoting the product again. My bet is it will come down when Vodacom adjusts their pricing by April.

I would be excited if it cost R1000pm. This is currently way too expensive for me:(

In my opinion uncapped links will always be hammered - merely for the fact that they are uncapped !

What I absolutely can't stand is when ISP's start blabbing about the small percentage of users that are making it worse for everyone.

Anyway here is to hoping 2010 will be a lot better :)

That is way too much for my pocket.

SAOL 384k uncapped @ R499.00 all inclusive ... much better :D

Prices will come down with time. The SA market must get to grips with competition.

Proper competition means better deals for the consumer. Competition FTW!

lol, still way too expensive

Unfortunately it is but it's still value for money. I'd estimate 1TB traffic to be conservative so you're looking at around R2.70/GB. I'd get over it within three months or so though.

Quite happy with the Axxess express+ uncapped account. Unles your running a business why do you need 4Mb in the day?

was paying R500 overseas for the same, so ive been spoilt abit, id pay 1k and no more, so yes it will be a decade or so before im happy lol

Speeds on Vodacom 4mb uncapped - openweb,3.01.10

Hey all can anyone comment on erratic speeds on vodacom uncapped, i am using astraweb and have found speeds very erratic for most of today maxing at 100k rather than the 400k i can get using axxess IS fibre uncapped
