Now the GOOD news…

We are busy installing our own ADSL infrastructure which will be independent of all current bandwidth carriers – this we hope to have live for testing by December. P2P users and gamers will be pleased to hear that we have also developed more user friendly port shaping protocols and will publish these on our website soon.

Here is the proposed pricing for January 2006

Web Africa's

Our provisional pricing is as follows:

- Price increases for large cap accounts (10GB and above).
- Per gigabyte billing.
- Hard capping on all accounts (you will only be able to get to Web Africa's homepage when capped to "top up").

Fixed-cap ADSL
ADSL 3GB - R199 (reduced from R250p/m)
ADSL 5GB - R342 (replacing our 10GB ADSL)
ADSL 10GB - R570 (replaces our 30GB ADSL)

ADSL 4GB Unshaped - R499 (unchanged)

Prepaid ADSL
Our prepaid ADSL option allows for you to obtain a certain amount of usage for the month, but, unlike the fixed-cap service, your remaining usage credit is retained for the following month. Therefore if you bought 10GB this month but only used 2GB, you will have the remaining 8GB available for use next month.

Prepaid Shaped - R75p/GB
Prepaid Unshaped - R125p/GB

All prices include VAT.

killadoob - we offer you a cisco router which does layer 7 packet shaping for p2p traffic.. so there is no work around, simple as that.

The plus side, it cost alot cheaper than the other IS uncapped 512k and for a business using 20gig+ a month, its alot more affordable.

You might want to post a URL to each of the ISP's as well so if people are keen they can go check the site out or sign up. Same applies for the current thread.

good idea, i will do that now. Does anyone have any idea what TelkomInternet has announced?

It's a difficult choice between saol and openweb. both are damn good.
