Hi folks

I have just tried to get hold of Papi Molotsane (Telkom CEO), but he is in a board meeting in Cape Town. I was promised by his PA that he will come back to us by Monday 15:00. The aim of this call is to discuss the new ADSL billing system with him and explain to him what has to be done from Telkom’s side to avoid further action from consumers.

I will let you know if he actually calls back as promised.

Regards,

RPM

W00t. Go rpm. The man with the power (we hope). Papi, if you can somehow read this... be nice to us.

Well, the damage is already done. I refuse to have anything that has the colour combination of Blue and Green in my house EVER again

PS rpm - thanks for the effort, though Telkom have left a permanent scar and it will take alot before I ever use them again.

Great RPM. Hopefully Papi will start acting like a real CEO: call the shots, and fire everybody who doesn't listen or do their job! If not, mebe I can give him some training? :D

Thanks for being proactive, yet again, as we all get accustomed to. Keep us posted.

Just do not raise the bar to high as just now we keep you responsible for not lowering the broadband pricing in two weeks. Hehe

something to look forward to on a Monday :p

@rpm, keep biting at their heals !!!!

Good King Otto in the land of Happy Valley

This Telkom communication thing is bit like Monty Python. If you are not happy then you get hung.

Pay per gig is not an evil idea if the price is reasonable, i.e. R5-10/GB. Also, one must have a decent sized cap before one has to purchase more GB's, say 15GB cap. BUT - for the current price of ADSL, the cap should be huge.

I take it that you still haven't heard anything, RPM? Typical, I thought they wanted to take MyADSL seriously.

I don't agreed - the line rental makes any attempt to reasonably price ADSL impossible.

Exactly. I wasn't talking about line rental i was talking about the access portion, not Telkom's rapid ROI-machine aka ADSL line rental

Say RPM in this meet with Mr. P how about a list from Telkom to specify their social upliftment programs. Maybe sneak in a question about the contention ratio's.... on a 50:1 it's no wonder we are all throttled.

No kidding.. I think I've seen it change 3 times in the last few days :D at least the little green blocks portion

I also tend to think that per-gig "can be" a good idea if implemented right. It allows everyone to get what he/she wants. The pricing though as it currently stands blows that whole thought out the window.
