Which set of speakers?

The Logitech Z-5500's 5.1's are still my dream speakers. As soon as I have some extra cash :D

My Z5500's are really one big enjoyment! You cant go wrong with them...

You can not go wrong with logitech, I have the x530's and those are awesome value for money. A friend has the z5500 and you can not go higher than half way for comfort levels. Logitech FTW

for movies and music z5500 are better than the S750 ... for games S750 are better. Z5500 have more bass ... both nice speakers but Z5500 are overall better value for money

What would be a good price for thr z5500 in SA
The best I have been able to find is R2995

My friend got them for R2800 and that was last year.. Logitech for me! Got the Z5500 and they kick ass! If you want the best, go with Logitech, best value for money and excellent quality!

All the reviews I have read said that the S750's are the better speakers at everything including movies and music.

The Sub is also 210RMS vs 188RMS for the Z-5500's. Only problem is the price :(

i used google when looking for reviews ... my friend has a S750 also with the same sound card and my speakers def got more bass ... the S750 have alot of midrange bass ...

well find someone that has both the speakers with a similar sound card and judge for yourself ... the Z5500 definitely shakes the neighbourhood ... nowadays i get dissapointed with the sound at the movies ... these logitechs are great almost perfect, best sound i have ever heard and if you not really into gaming id say get the HDA-X mystique sound card to compliment it, it does dolby digital live

Yo adamr, I was thinking about getting a nice X-fi elite pro, how does yours perform in like games, music and movies? Would you recommend it or would a lower range card like the X-fi platinum be a better investment since it only has a few db less?

the 24-bit crystaliser is awesome ... dont ask but it just works ... even though in theory it should not. Only reason i got the elite is cause i wanted an optic connector and with the fatality version my pc case door would not close.

id say if it is just music and movies get a HDA-XMystique and for games if the "closing case door" is not a problem then get the fatality ... dont think you will notice the SNR difference, i honestly did not between this card and the X-Mystique.

Yes in BF2 you do notice an improvement in performance and the sound is just awesome (this was when i had a 6800GT and 2500+ CPU)
