Imagine that you are the one getting this... :(

oober I so seriously hate you!!! I should never have read that article!

maybe we will have the same thing in sa in about 50 years.

First, I downloaded the 1.7GB The Natural through Optimum. It took 45 minutes. Next, I unhooked the cable and plugged in FiOS. Downloading the 1.7GB As Good As It Gets movie took . . . wait for it . . . 12 minutes. Twelve minutes!!

This was pretty astounding, and virtually every Web page I visited popped up as if the servers were sitting in my living room.

So in just under one hour online he managed to pull 3.4GB in a pidling 2 files. He must be one of those "discerning" customers Telkom talks about, or is that a bandwidth "abuser".

Heres a guy who was able to download a near DVD quality movie from a movie rental service for $5 in less time than it takes me to get to Blockbusters.

I'm going away for a bit - to have a good cry!

That story is what i expect heaven to be like. It acually happens in real life ?

Fiber at home, it sounds like one of those pre 2000 Scifi movies! I think if some strange and wonderful thing happened and some brilliant company makes it available in SA at prices comparable to that of Verizon, starting at +-R250 , people here would go into panic the JSE would plummet and Telkom head offices would explode! lol the entire country would go into a state of total panic!

Hmmm one can only dream!

Mods, please close this thread!
It should illegal to post stuff like this :o

We are not suppose to know service, bandwidth and technology like this exist.

Maybe one day (0.0000000001% probability) will we get there.

*stop drooling*
