Unlisted Telkom numbers available for all to see

They can be sued for this, are they not following a certain Data Protection Act?!

Instead of doing the work for Telkom and finding out/faxing Telkom to remove your details from public domain, why not ask Icasa to force Telkom to rectify the problem. I'm sure they can do this...........10-20 years?! LOL
 
After the balls up with TDS where they printed phone directories out of alphabetical order and now this I think they need to quickly start looking for some competent new db admins.
 
maybe this is one of the many ways in selling your personal info for their extra billions they earn???
 
Had to fight with Telkom last year about this exact same issue. Seems like they FINALLY fixed my number from showing online.

I've been fighting with Telkodemonopolies Directory [dis]Services since August 2005 to get a R90 refund for a business number that they never even put into the directory listings [both offline & online], I also had to fax TDS last year to request that they remove my home line from the listings [which it appears was eventually done - checked it again just now]...
 
funny a while back i also looked up an address in the yellow pages and coudn't retrieve anything
 
If you want to lookup all the surnames starting with
A... then enter the following:
Surname: A%
Initials: %
Select a region
Gives a combination of Initials starting with A

Papi Molotsane (Telkom CEO)must have a mansion in
Tembisa township :)
