Johannesburg – Well-known TV presenter Vuyo Mbuli has died.

Eyewitness News reported that Mbuli collapsed at the Free State stadium on Friday night while watching the rugby game between the Cheetahs and the Reds.

Some reports stated that he had a heart attack.

Mbuli was rushed to hospital and he passed away on Sunday morning.

Mbuli made his television debut in 1993 and spent the largest part of his career working at the SABC, becoming a popular face on morning shows.

Renowned SABC television and radio presenter Vuyo Mbuli has died, the SABC reported on Sunday.

Mbuli collapsed while watching a rugby match between the Cheetahs and the Reds at the Free State Stadium on Saturday night, the SABC reported.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Mediclinic hospital in the city, it was reported.

He was 46 at the time of his death.

A family spokesperson told the SABC that the cause of death had not yet been determined.

The spokesperson requested that the family's privacy be respected as they tried to get to terms with the tragedy.

This really is SAD! I enjoyed his sense of humour and wit, and always loved it when he said "Dit is vir jou Donderrdag!". RIP!
 
He was awesome, man. How old was he? WTF :(

used to watch morning news every day, vuyo brought something that no others could to a news broadcast - witty & very intelligent.

i know without doubt morning news will just be morning news without him !!
