GSM / 3G repeaters

Has anyone tried one of these repeaters?
Seems only GPRS/EDGE?/3G frequencies are covered, but something like this could improve signal in a home with poor signal strength in rooms.

The only problem is if they not ICASA approved then you might have some problems with frequency's...........
