Compuscan - Has anyone used this service?

Has anyone used the services of Compuscan - Getting your individual Credit Record from them?

Was it truly free? Any catches?

Experian's account authentication is terrible - they're asking questions about accounts I haven't had in over five years.

Those are save as well as the ones I posted, no scams. They will each list some different information and some overlapping...
 
What caught my attention about Compuscan, is that in a sample report it showed everything from Credit Rating, to Credit History, Fraud Activity (i.e. Identity Theft) and a few extra details. So I would like to get that type of report without any hidden cost or obligations.

I would assume that providing a copy of your ID and Proof of Residence is mandatory, in order to avoid unauthorized queries?

The others show most of that too...
 
I've just got one those credit check with all of them, and Compuscan has me listed as a bad payer for Lewis - I've never even been in a Lewis store and don't even know where one is! There's like 8 months outstanding and R12,000 balance or something.

Just emailed them to remove, but I hope this doesn't become a huge mission. None of the other agencies have anything negative - just these guys.
