Hi Vinky,

I've just discovered that R599 has been deducted from my bank account on 5th November by iBurst.

The next deduction should have been on 5 December - which you promised me (I've included your email to me, dated 01 November).

I'm getting extremely irritated with the incompetence, you promised me that the next deduction would be on 5 December - and now money has been deducted from my account AGAIN.

Please pay this money back to me ASAP!

You should e-mail Ed about this. He will debit the money into your account instantly if you explain your problem to him.

Screw the e-mails that never get read take a drive to the headoffice (sandton - 66 Park Lane) and *** on any staff that has the power to fix your problem until they fix your problem!

She emailed me this morning & promised the money would be in my account - guess what, still no money.

iBurst has taken R599 X 3 = R1797 from my account in 20 days, it would seem they just think I'm the richest man in South Africa, whereas my bank has most probably made a note against my name.

Getting really tired of this incompetence - if they'll pay me, I will do the job. It's basic accounting that they can't even get right.

Twice in one month? You are lucky!! Try four times!

I've been billed almost R6000 in the past month. This after being assured that problems had been personally rectified.

I've just sent this email:

Hi Feroza,

Looking at my bank statement for October, it seems I was too quick to thank you for promptly "rectifying this error"

For reasons only known to Iburst, I was not debited in August and September, my previous payment being on 11 July. I was contacted by telephone during September and I agreed to pay the arrears on the next debit order date. So on 11 October I was billed R3297, being 3xR1099 for August/September/October.

Now I see another payment on 17 October for R1099! What is this for???

Then I see another payment on 25 October for R1448. This is the one I complained about because I was assured I would be billed on my usual date. I don't see this being rectified??? It is still there. There is no revesal, and no credit on my account. This amount included extra bandwidth of R349.

Finally , there is another charge for extra bandwidth of R139 on 1 November.

I don't have a problem with the extra bandwidth charges. But I have been overcharged R2198.

I expect my next debit order to be R1099 on 11 November, being my payment for November.

And I expect R2198 to be refunded to me immediately.

Regards,

I thought someone said they had improved and now it seems I too get billed and have money deducted twice in the same month.

It's about time the whole lot get fired and new competant people put in their positions.

I don't care what anyone else says or thinks, as far as I'm concerned this company must rank amoungst the worst in sa as far as been incompetant.

Hmmmm, looks like they need extra money for all those new base stations they've been putting up.

iBurst accounts dept is quick to deduct the money out of your account, but for some reason they can't put it back with the same speed.

Try your bank for help ...

I know it is a schlep to watch your bank account each day, however you have 2 days after such transactions go through your bank account during which time your bank can "bounce" such transactions.

And how much does your bank charge for that service?

iBurst accounts phoned me now and said they can only put the money back in my bank account on Monday!

I told them that I'm sure they can do better than that, because in effect, they are stealing my money.

@Kingrob, Strange how they managed to take it quick enough and then turn around and tell you that you have to wait.
I'm not even going to waste my time and money calling them and will just wait and see what happens.
I'll just keep record of dates and amount they "steal" from my account and if they continue to do it then hit them hard.

pfffffft, what story will they come up with on Monday? They still owe me a monthly difference between a 1GB and 500MB package from a year ago. I gave up.

The problem is that Iburst want to charge you a month in advance - that was the real reason behind moving everyone to the 25th. The payment on the 25th was intended to be for the following month. By maintaining your date as the 5th, you are now paying on the 5th for the following month, and not the current month as you normally would. This is why you have a double payment. Ultimately, I don't think you are going to get any joy. Even if they pay you back, they will just take two payments off you in Decemeber. The system is very likely to be automated.

The best you can do is move your debit order date to as late in the month as possible.
