Hi guys I must say the blog that ed has provided is such a load of hog-wash... from the comments he's made all I see is he's responses to "certain" issues whilst avoiding the rest. What's worse is I could post a comment under the pretense of Ed on that blog and give everyone a big middle finger and everyone would think it's ed that's posting...

Awesome blog there!

P.S if the webmaster of iburst's site is reading why does iburst.co.za cause my IE to crash???

Just imagine:

Hi guys, I am Ed Hall. You are all a bunch of idiots, and stop bugging me with your petty complaints. :p

*sigh...

I think by ignoring the clients complaints he's already saying that.

I note that all previous blog commentary by irate users has been deleted. Yet another round of censorship... strike 2

Give iBurst a break!!!

Look at Ed's post:

Dear All

I truly regret the frustration and aggravation that iBurst caused - to you our clients during the past few months, also I would like to personally apologise for my arrogance, lack of knowledge and uncompromising behaviour.

iBurst will in future, become a service driven organisation that will listen to our clients and we will ensure that the highest level of technical assistance be given to all clients, in all areas of our organisation. We will also be hiring technically skilled personnel throughout our business to accommodate these new service levels.

In the spirit of this client orientated services delivery, the iBurst management has decided to allow you to carry over your purchased bandwidth indefinitely and with immediate effect we will endeavour to resolve any connectivity issues you are experiencing within a 24-hour frame work. We know you are reliant on us for your internet connectivity and how important this is to you.

Further, we will upgrade our towers within the coming week, to ensure that all users within a range of five kilometres of any tower will receive the advertised 1Mbps connection rate at any given time.

Also, we are currently looking at revising the monthly restrictions on bandwidth usage and would appreciate your feedback. Please email me so we could establish if these restrictions are still necessary.

Any other suggestion to assist us in becoming the ISP of choice would be greatly appreciated. We as a company want to be your partner in creating the best internet experience in South African.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Why do I somehow doubt a post like this ever existed or ever will exist :p

hahahahahaha I think i just opened up pandora's box...

great techies at iburst.... I always knew they hired people who can't think, let along run a stable site ;)

Whoever is responsible should be shot on sight!

(Referring to the iBurst website) The Webmaster of the iburst.co.za domain should not be coding websites and well if you have a look at the landing page then he shouldn’t be designing sites either. Maybe he/she is just dirt cheap, therefore the level of work being so poor – shame on iBurst for exploiting the uneducated. – All speculation, but why don’t they do things the right way, right from the start?

I can’t understand how a company like iBurst can actually accept this poor standard and not use proper software for the Blog, I mean what were you thinking?

Sometimes I feel sorry for poor old Ed, he is getting it from all sides – I wonder if the iBurst management pays any attention to him and the complaints he passes on.

It is seriously time for iBurst to get their act together, surely with a partnership with a brand like Vodacom they can’t afford to be messing around any longer.

1. The blog looks like it simply writes to an xml file. (try posting a link)
2. There is no protection from spam robots
3. There is no protection against using Ed's name

2 & 3 are 5 min jobs

1 --- Depends what they won't to do about it

To me the blog is a complete waste of time. Ed rarely replies to the posts and those that do he does reply to are usually the minor problems. They might as well remove it from the site and start a forum maybe?

What is wrong with THIS forum?

Ja, they could just get a representative here like they have apparently promised, right IC?, and then link MyADSL on their website perhaps.

Having hundreds of people just moan on a blog with only 1 person who can respond, unlike this forum, is a bit stupid.
