Telkom Mobile Online Order has Logistic Problem DON"T PLACE ANY ORDERS!

Hi guys, just a word of caution.

Telkom Mobile has some kind of logistic issue going on and people waiting for any online deliveries are going to be waiting for a while.
So if you are in a hurry, I suggest you look elsewhere for an online order.

According to the contract, a device will be delivered within 5 working days, and I told the chaps, if it's not in my hands by day 5 - the contract has been broken and the deal is off.
But the tricky bit is, of course, that they will try to charge me a penalty fee, even though they broke the contract - not me.

Worst part is - the is no sms or emails notifying folks about the delay, you kindof sit around waiting and waiting, until you phone them.

Anyway - there you have it.

Ohhhh now this make sense ....on the 2nd of March I have also ordered a mobile device - everytime I phone and ask when is the package gonna be delivered, I am told that Courier IT says there is a problem with delivery address, and when I ask what is the problem with the address they don't say anything..... I told them that if tomorrow 11h00 the package is not delivered I will cancel the deal.

I have the same issue . Did the credit check stuff, had the first payment deducted etc etc etc.
Phoned today - my five days have expired and no reference number, no courier , no feedback, and get told there is a problem with the computer and my order hasn't been processed yet? Not impressed at all . I am seriously considering cancelling this whole deal and going elsewhere

I ordered mine 12th March, today its the 2nd of April, this is the old telkom we have all come to know and love :mad:
 
Can you cancel the order and re-apply at the TM store? I'm starting to think that I will also wait a while...

I called them and asked them to cancel. Im tired of this BS piss poor service, they don't even try to rectify their mistakes, when i canceled they did not even try to apologize or try to keep me in the slightest of ways.
Im also working in customer service, and this is as poor as you will get.
 
They finally delivered mine after a visit to hellopeter but now i get my first account and I see I am on the wrong price plan / contract....
 
I must be a sucker for punishment - I'm only applying for a 10 + 10GB LTE TM account to help me through the adsl 'downtimes' - my Telkom voice line has been missing/damaged/stolen/severed/etc since the 23rd of March, and I don't see any light any time soon.

I've been waiting 6 weeks for my LTE uncapped, spent R400 airtime on waiting and have tried Facebook and Twitter to no avail. What's the delay? Why the secrecy? What's happening and why the lack of communication? It's so frustrating. Neotel fibre is just sounding more and more tempting, I'd rather pay more and have someone answer the phone than this depressing state of affairs.
 
Thanks for the heads up. Was thinking of getting the LTE uncapped deal, but I think I'll pass on this one.

The products itself is awesome, the support that goes around it (especially sales and call centre) is what is terrible. Though have had some luck with the MyBB Telkom team - they unfortunately cannot always fix the issue
 
Same issue here.

Telkom debited my account on the 9th of October and called me on the 10th to advise my contract was approved and until now nada.
 
Off topic sort off but also good luck trying to find the awesome most unlimited Huawei P8 Lite near a Telkom store anywhere in SA (or rather Pretoria) ... The current R199 deal seems brilliant on paper, pity there's no stock anywhere. I've been waiting more than 10 days for someone to phone me :(

(and yes I've been following up in store and online every couple of days)
