Who gave ICASA their mandate? Seriously - ICASA is failing the citizens of South Africa.

We need to use a collective voice to speak out against ICASA and their failings - I am sure that if we all stand together, we can get some politcal preasure put onto government to ensure that ICASA perform the mandate set for them. I swear - I will toy-toy outside any office.

People from all races, religions and creeds - bound by a single voice - is bound to make the news. I remember then some woman from IBM protested outside IBM in Sandton - that made the then 8 o'clock news.

I wonder if anyone that works at ICASA have family that are high up in Telkom?
Like Vodacom & iBurst.

I say, Neotel, go ahead, and do your thing.

[censored] unbelievable...

gaaaaah

In a recent interview Mashile is quoted as saying that, “Although ICASA has lost a number of staff recently, this has not affected the deliverables of the organization”.

Mashile is right it has not affected them, they've remained consistant through out; they sucked piles before and they still suck piles now!

Puke

Vakking ICASA idiots..

Was SENTECH not fighting to keep the 800MHz band ?

Vakking conspiracy theories again...

Totally PISSSED - once again

Yet another example of how the government is seriously stuffing up this country. And I dont think they care either, if they do then it can only mean all of them are totally stupid. Its beyond words.

Anyway the big problem with us as consumers is that we are all too busy to take any form of action. We work long and hard for our money and we get ripped off everywhere making us more determined to stick to earning our money rather than taking action. We get stuck into a system and everyday we wake up with no time for anything else. I think South Africans are so used to being ripped off its rather sad, I mean everytime we see something that may resemble a good deal we immediately think, "Whats the catch??".

So it seems this is a way of life here in SA and it will never ever change no matter what any of you think, unless you make a stand and I mean a strong determined stand. I doubt that will ever happen though. I will admit even I have too much problems already to start worrying about picketing outside a telkom office or put much effort in any form of protest.

Its sad that it is the way it is. No use moaning though is there?

Off topic---I heard there are more murders as a result of violent crime in SA than killings in IRAQ. And we are the third most crime infested country in the world bested only by Drug Lord territory Columbia and some other bad place (cant remember off hand). I MEAN HOLY **** need I say more??? SA even had a worthy army once long ago, rated just as strong as the Israeli Army and capable of marching right to the top of Africa.

So do any of you think that our government is capable of doing anything right??? Let alone our state of affairs with Telkom and the rest. Yes I thought not. So point being----moaning will not get us anywhere!!!!

I bet even any of you "Glass is half full" types would be disappointed.

---------
EDIT--Oh yes I think that other bad place was the Bronx

Lets all stop paying our taxes till things get sorted out. Since it's our money that they are wasting :(

My tax money is funding a circus of IMBECILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes - but you'll need to be more specific - which imbeciles are you referring to at this juncture in time?

The way ISASA and Ivy are trying to thwart any progress is astounding. That some people actually want these people to be totally independent - read unaccountable - astounds me. That's the last thing they deserve.
