Where to get cheapest E220 modem?

Where can I buy the cheapest E220 modem in Somerset West?.... Cape Town will also do.

I have just recieved my E220 USB modem on a My Gig 1 package and it is worth it to sign up for the packages which include the modem. It work out that you only pay only R60.00 for the modem and over 24 months it work out to R1440.00 instead of paying R2800.00 if you buy it cash.

There's a data contract from Cellucity - get the E220 for R80 per month for 24 months plus R230 something upfront.
So that's 80x24 +230 = R2150. You also get 40 MB included per month. This is better I think than paying cash for the modem. You're basically paying it off interest free and you also get some bytes which really shouldn't be a problem using up.

Try Nashua Mobile - I quote: "The outright purchase price of the Huawei E220 is R1873.48 (incl VAT). "

Cheers

Sorry wasn't specific enough - came via e-mail as a response to my query on their internet site. If you PM me your e-mail address I'll forward you the mail

could this b a misprint: Matrix computers advertise HSDPA 40MB (Vodacom) at R85pm x12 - with datacard or USB modem. That is R 1020...

Nashua at Vodaworld told me they don't sell anything for cash - everything they do is on contract.

I picked up my E220 at Vodaworld (can't remember the store's name, but it is the one on your left as you go in, opposite 4u) for R2599.

Apparently Incredible Connection has them going for less than that.

For that price, it's cheaper to get a small Nokia with 3G and use Bluetooth :(

It is cheaper and it would be great, if a 3G Nokia over Bluetooth was a stable solution. I've been doing that for two years with my 6630 and now E61, and it really doesn't come close to the speeds and lower latency you get from a dedicated HSDPA modem like the E220.

Don't get me wrong, the Nokia 3G bluetooth does work, and I'll continue to use it ad-hoc when I don't want to unpack the E220, but it isn't the same experience.

I believe thats the Messenger Pro package - it's R85 x 24 months with the E220 included for around R230 cash. So it's R2270 in total. (approx). Includes 40Megs per month.
