How to stop the rand from hitting R25 vs the dollar

Naaa, not a chance of that not happening. I predict R25/US$ by December...if not earlier. We're part of Africa, and the rest of the continent's currencies are not up to it.

Meh brace yourselves, this is only the beginning. We are no different to any other african country out there. $25 would be a blessing by the end of the year.

Soon to be followed by communism.

DA policies indistinguishable from ANC's.

Which is worse - crappy policies badly implemented by venal and corrupt incompetents, or crappy policies thoroughly and efficiently implemented?

I quite agree. But I must add that as/if the DA gains more traction they will start to attract all the same venal and corrupt incompetents as they jump ship, especially since they have now dropped their magic ingredient (merit and accountability) in favor of race quotas. So it will just be a massive long term rinse/repeat.

So who does one vote for?

So who does one vote for?

To me it seems simple really. We are absolutely 100% certain that what there is now is NOT working, so the very best we can do at the moment is vote for the next biggest party that has half a chance. For where our country is at the moment, this is the only feasible strategy. Whether you like the DA or not, it really is our only chance for change and when you preempt that it is going to be a failure and waste your vote, you are sitting back and accepting that which is completely broken at the moment which leaves us here:

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
