This article are an lie it state that they are droping there price "The revised pricing will take effect from 9 September 2016 for all new signups, and current clients will be charged the new rate from the next billing cycle."

Total bs...

Normal Price

Uncapped 8192 kbps [************@afrihost.co.za] 2016-07-01 2016-07-31 R597.00

What they state the price was before to day.

Home Uncapped 8Mbps Bundle R659.00 R579.00 R80.00 -12%

Im so confused by this post... What exactly are you on about?

What are you paying currently?
Do you have a bundle ie line and data?

Have they incorrectly charged you? If so, did you check with them before making this thread?
Might just be a mistake as lots of changes are happening

Hi

The article and quoted dates are correct.
New sign-ups see the new pricing while existing clients will see the price drop during their next billing run at the end of this month.

The price you're quoting is from July, so it will be the old pricing since we only released this today.

Hope that clears things up for you.

EDIT: If you're still seeing the old pricing referenced on the website it simply means we haven't pushed the update out yet. It's been a massively busy few days and our website team are swamped. Either way, the new pricing will take affect soon and will still see the affect today.

The old Price was R597 as can see on my post and not R659 that are stated on the article.

So an 12% drop then the price should be R597-12% = R533

You are an existing client and will only see the reduction at the beginning of October 2016. :)

He's saying the old price is lower than what afrihost says the old price was, and thus the reduction is not 12 percent but is less

Oops, didn't realize the OP was paying a lower price during July 2016. :o

Thanks for clearing that up, didn't seem to have that info on your initial post.
You're right though, the decrease doesn't seem to be 12%. Regardless though, I don't think this can be seen as a "lie"

Perhaps reporting this to MyBB is more appropriate? http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/137838-Article-Mistake-corrections
