Two graphs which show how expensive Vodacom's data is

Vodacom and MTN been shafting SA for decades with little regulation enforced. This in a country where majority of the population rely on a mobile phone as the only communication tool. And in today's world, that means access to affordable data.
Vodacom & MTN can squeel and spin as much they like - look at the margin of profits they declare every year.
Really hope a new ICASA will come to the rescue

That said I could not agree more. The way Vodacom spins stuff is always in their favor. They are NEVER wrong. I"m surprised they never mentioned stuff like power hour and bundles valid for 1 hour that add so much more value to the offerings in SA.....

They have good speeds in SA because people can't afford to spend thousands on data so the network performs well and they have great coverage because of the people that do spend thousands making them good money to roll out a network.

Make data super cheap and see any networks average speed tank...

People are stupid.

No one is moving to another provider, besides the toothless #datamustfall nothing happens.

People are happy to pay that price, and bitch about it on a forum.

I really don't blame Vodacom for charging what they do. South African consumers are just a push over. They do idle threats on Facebook and some forum. Who cares.

Maybe you are but I'm not I moved and have never been happier and I pay half my bill I used to pay to VC oh and I get about 5 times more

I moved. Was with them for 20 years. Got tired of their pricing and lack of innovation. (There's that word again Jannie)
 
Usual BS in corporate SA. Those Maserati’s and million dollar lifestyles come at someone’s cost.

SA is overly expensive, sadly this won’t be fixed.
 
Vodacom the best in south Africa as they have the most customers. The clients love them I wish I had shares there soo much money they make just 100000 shares lol

Don't hate the player, they are not forcing anybody to pay their prices.
 
Calls - Vodacom
Data - Telkom Mobile

I even tell the Vodacom sales people at the local stores about the good deals on data from Telkom Mobile (I'm on the 300GB soft-cap for R599).
 
So we have to take Vodacoms word that the other countries have cheaper data because they have ****tier service than us.
