The best notebook you can buy

Or you could go for the Asus G2S, same specs, lower price, and just load xp...

Apple. So, thanks to Core, you are going to pay a 50% premium up front. It might be the best notebook you can buy, but it it's certainly not the best notebook you can afford, or the best value for money.

It was the best notebook I could afford to buy. ;)

Might be the best notebook you can buy but pricewise it aint the best.

Tom Yager doesn't know what he's talking about.

" in a radiologist’s lab " - is that a demanding environment?

I would think that being out in the field, say in Iraq in the middle
of the desert or the battle zone would be a demanding environment
and for that Panasonic Toughbooks are the machines to own.
You can drive a car over it and the machine looks like new.

Anyway it's not the best for all applications, it's just a pretty good
laptop and it's good because it runs Mac OSX natively.

Taking into consideration you dont have to buy the following for a Mac Pro ....

1. no photo album software, (iPhoto)
2. no DVD writing software, (iDVD)
3. no audio creation software, (Garadgeband)
4. no antivirus software,
5. no dictionary or thesaurus software (Dictionary with Wikipedia linked)
6. no movie making software (iMovie)

Get all this for a Windows laptop and you'l drop another 3-4 g's

Most def worth it to get the Mac Pro.
