The local bandwidth is entirely unshaped, but does not allow for any P2P traffic.
I don't really see any advantage, here. They say they can tell me which website is local, and which website is international, so, how the freck can they justify charging me the same rate for each?
Local? International?....what a load of crap. Uncapped except for p2p???...so its is actually capped.....this is an overly complex pile of ****...all thanks to Telkom.

Hi RPM
Well then I would appreciate it if Cybersmart would stick to that line of marketing (price based) and not pretend to be offering an ADSL regulations compliant product offering.
I apologise, but, once the ISP's also warp the rules like teklom does, all hope is lost.
This new service is a welcome addition to the local ADSL landscape and sets a new standard for hybrid international-local ADSL account pricing. It is also a big leap forward towards a fully automated system where local and international bandwidth will automatically be routed and billed separately by ISPs.
In order to be in full compliance with the ADSL Regulations, which call for uncapped local bandwidth, additional local bandwidth usage after depleting both the allotted local and international bandwidth will be charged at R 20-00 per GB for DSL384 users and R 22-00 per GB for DSL512 subscribers.
From their website all they say is:This new Capextender product – which is only available to Cybersmart one-price DSL384 and DSL512 subscribers – comes in three different flavours.
*edit* YES, IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU RENT YOUR LINE FROM CYBERSMART AS WELLYou need to be an existing Cybersmart subscriber.
Agreed, but I DON'T apologise, it SUCKS BIG TIME AND CYBERSMART ARE LOOKING MORE LIKE TELKOM AFTER THIS MARKETING BULL.I apologise, but, once the ISP's also warp the rules like teklom does, all hope is lost.
Why bother with this? Go to gmail.google.com and use that site. Wait two minutes and then use www.mybroadband.co.za and then wait two minutes after that to be able to go to reader.google.com. My word...
