    Hi everyone, I need opinions on Surebrake brake disks and pads. Are they any good? I have a 2013 Mercedes Benz C350 Coupe that needs new ones all around. MB quoted me more than double the price of a Surebrake quote. Would you recommend Surebrake?

    Hi, My merc has 71000km on the clock and the brake disks must be replaced, or skimmed. Replacement is R18K, before labour, which I'm told is R3.5K per wheel, thus very expensive overall. I've watched YouTube videos and I'm pretty confident I can remove and replace myself. I have a millwright...

    Someone above did say that that they buy a lot of electronic stuff from abroad, but those would have been with an importer's number. I do remember that I had to confirm whether I was an importer or regular buyer. I think being an importer makes for less duties.

    OK thanks for that. But hopefully other potential buyers will think twice now and do more research. But for me, as a long-time buyer of goods from online stores in other countries, everything has changed now, and my entusiasm has been seriously dampened.

    Perhaps you are correct. I have never had this happen to me, and I have a 54+ Gold record with eBay. I've always paid the import dities before delivery, but never to this exorbitant degree. Something has DEFINITELY changed!

    Don't be ridiculous. Documents reflect payment to Amazon, and shipping from their facility in Sarasota Florida. No workaround.
