    Thank you Steinbach Auto! Eventually I rang these guys who had done work on our Freelander and surprise, surprise - they have a Freelander 2 for wrecking and gave me a bit of door rubber. If anyone wants the metre I have left over, you can have it.

    Any suggestions where to source a used inner door rubber for Freelander 2? Part number LR001630. R2500 new from dealer and none used in PE. One dreamer offered me a damaged one for R675! I really only need 1 metre to replace a damaged section. Thanks

    Nobody mentioned BMW Active Tourer 220d. They seem to have come down in price a lot recently. It would need to have the 16 inch wheels to meet my comfort needs. And I might have to drive like Miss Daisy to get 6 L / 100km!

    Google tells me the 2017 Diesel automatic 2wd Duster and Kadjar have the same engine and EDC gearbox and are similar in size and weight. The Qashqai has same engine but CVT gearbox (not my cup of tea). I have driven a Duster and accept it as a budget car. Just wondering how the diesel Kadjar...

    Bought an Epson L1250 ecotank from Makro. Happy so far. It may be years before we replace ink. Much faster and a bit quieter than the Canon we had.

    Tks XPD. Is there a specific test for EDC? I would normally: 1. drive it and feel if all shifts up and down are smooth 2. Look at fluid colour on dipstick (if it has one) 3. Look for leaks
