    It arrived, but I'm not seeing the model I actually wanted. I'm hoping to get the 5G version of the base model so I at least have a Snapdragon SOC. This is a bit frustrating.

    Going through past release dates for the note series it looks like it will be between next month and May at the latest.

    I don't think Xiaomi releases their flagship phones direct to SA, They've pretty much only ever been available through importers. The T series phones are the only main brand phones that seem to be locally available.

    When is the Redmi Note 15 expected to be available locally or better yet the Poco M8, thinking of dipping my toes back into Xiaomi this year. Like when did the Note 14 release last year?

    I wouldn't bother waiting to tell the truth, I don't think they've ever released their flagship line locally, we might occasionally get spinoffs of the flagships like the T series, but the top of the liine has never really been produced locally, your best bet is importing.

    Have Core Group stopped selling Xiaomi phones in SA? MIA isn't selling any phones at the moment, and we haven't really had a new release in ages.

    This explains a lot a lot, Nintendo and Apple may not be everyone's favourite companies, in terms of consumer friendliness, but they sure do offer great products. Core group just make sure you pay a premium on top of the premium these products come with, same with Xiaomi phones here
