Xiaomi tipped to replace MIUI with MiOS

Xiaomi and its MIUI Android interface have been synonymous since 2010. MIUI now boasts a global user base of over 564 million monthly active users and the latest version out is MIUI 14 which was announced last December. It seems Xiaomi is looking for a change with the next iteration of its custom interface as reliable tipster Digital Chat Station is confident that Xiaomi will replace MIUI with an all-new MiOS.

Have Core Group stopped selling Xiaomi phones in SA? MIA isn't selling any phones at the moment, and we haven't really had a new release in ages.

I bought a 10C from MIA this week.

We really don't get the nice phones in SA or they have a huge markup. I'm looking for a Poco F5 or maybe the Pixel 7 but looks like I'll have to import or pay a big premium.

Got my MI 11 SE from ConnectedDevices.

A bit limited, but they had it in stock and I received it within 2 days. That was about a year ago, love the phone

oh they only had the pink version in stock at the time, but my cover took care of that

Does anyone know if the Redmi Note 12 Pro from Vodacom has NFC?

I have a choice between the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Samsung A34, any thoughts?

I’m beginning to lose my patience with Xiaomi now, my F3 is still stuck on a 01/05/23 patch.

Too many Android makers are getting slack with updates.

I've not used NFC, but it does seem to be listed in the connectivity settings of my Redmi Note 12 Pro.

I asked them, as it was not listed anywhere with NFC as feature. negative. Only the 12 Pro Plus has in RSA (depends on region).
Phones very similar, have had Xiaomi for many years, but will pick the A34 above the 12 Pro, the NFC defnitely swings it.

I am also looking at the Poco F5, gonna wait for the 11th Nov deals and then decide. All the reviews looks decent so far, so hopefully it is that good!

Only reason i would change to another device right now is because of CUD, and it's flippin itching....
