    204: Getting Away With Murder

Hi All. I am going out on a shoe-string over here and crossing fingers someone might be able to help, or at least be able to point me in the right direction.... I saw a local doccie called: "204: Getting Away with Murder" on our Big Screens a good couple of years back. (Spolier Alert: It's...

    ISP Existing Fibre Installation Fees

Yup, that's what I thought... When I spoke to the Telkom Sales person (for the umpteenth time) and insisted on her explaining why I need to pay an installation fee again of everything had been installed and was ready to go, she said that they had to resend a technician out to test the line to...

    ISP Existing Fibre Installation Fees

That's the part I don't get... I have a B number, and as far as I can tell the line is in the holding pool, so how come Telkom and MWEB want to charge me an installation fee again?

    ISP Existing Fibre Installation Fees

Thanks, will have a look at Afrihost as well. Incidently, I am starting to realize why ISP's like telkom and MWEB can cone in with such insanely cheap prices.... Seems they make up the difference by subtly slipping in the mandatory "installation fees whether one already has a existing working...

    ISP Existing Fibre Installation Fees

Yip, I have no problems in paying a connection fee, as as far as I can tell most FNO's do charge the ISP's a connection fee. But it is having to repay for an installation fee that I have a problem with. Do all ISP's require this when migrating over/signing up with them? Or is it just the more...

    ISP Existing Fibre Installation Fees

Hi All. I am just trying to garnish a little clarity. I recently moved into a new house in which the previous owner had Openserve installed Openserve Fibre Line with ONT and D-link DWR 965m Router/Modem, which was left in place as part of the house sale agreement. I am not sure which ISP he...

Alva or Delta Zero Start Gas Geyser?

Hi There U_Guy, Thanks for the input, by my calculations that is actually not to bad gas consumption for the amount of time the geyser is in use... If there are 5 people showering a day at an average of 8 to 10 minutes per shower per person, then that averages approx 45mins per day. Multiply...

Alva or Delta Zero Start Gas Geyser?

HI All, I have a rather large house I am busy subdividing for rental purposes. At the end of the day it will consist of 6 separate units. I did the math, and on a 60amp electricity feed, there is simply just not enough electricity available to spread out over the 6 units each each with their...

    Commercial/Residential Gas Installation Limits

Thanks Sinbad. Quick question, who would I have to get hold of to draw up such plans? Also, would I have to submit them to the local municipality as well? - I am worried that if I have to they might give me a hard time for having 5 rental units in one residential property, as my property is not...

    Commercial/Residential Gas Installation Limits

Hi Cosmik, I would be requiring 2 bottles per unit as they would be running a gas geyser as well as a gas hob, so if gas runs out at night it would be convenient to simply switch to the second bottle to carry on uninterrupted while giving time to have the empty bottled refilled again. ;)

    Commercial/Residential Gas Installation Limits

Needing Some Clarity Please.... I am busy converting my double story house and garden cottage into rental units. At the end of the project I should have 6 units. I would want to install Gas Hobs and Gas Geysers in each unit to help cut down the total load of electricity that would be needed...

Neogo Data Package and Huawei (K3715) USB Modem

Hi All, Please excuse my ignorance, but iI have been lately been looking at the cheapest mobile wireless data packages available out there and noticed that Neotel has two almost "too good to be true" offerings. A 10gb data package fo only R99pm, or, a 15gb data package at R149pm, both...

    MTN Steppa Firmware

Hi Everyone, Desperately looking for the firmware for the MTN STEPPA (BYD SP355AWG) phone. The guys at the MTN repair center aren't very helpful, only saying that the cannot/are not allowed give it to the general public/customers/owners of the MTN Steppa phones. I on the other hand say I...
