Ubiquiti change of controlling PC due to PC upgrade

This did not work in my case - my original software was 7.1.66 and when I tried to restore the back up on my new PC (where I installed the latest software for windows), the restore process would just hang for hours. I then closed the software, uninstalled the latest version and installed 7.1.66...

Ubiquiti change of controlling PC due to PC upgrade

I can joyfully (and with much relieve) report back that my controller was successfully transferred from my old steam driven PC to my new one. Thanks for the help and advice, it really is much appreciated! PS: I had a "slight" hiccup, but resolved it pretty quick  Silly me did not realise...

Ubiquiti change of controlling PC due to PC upgrade

Hi - not yet . . . . . . . My fiber line went down early Saturday morning and I just got it restored today. Plan is to tackle the changeover the weekend as I still need to set up my new PC (Currently it is in a raw assembled state, no OS etc) Will keep you posted when I have done the migration...

Ubiquiti change of controlling PC due to PC upgrade

@My_King , Thanks for the quick response - much appreciated. Just to confirm I understand you correctly, I can perform the backup on my old PC and then restore on my new PC without the need to activate the override option? (I guess because I am using the same router/IP)

Ubiquiti change of controlling PC due to PC upgrade

Good morning folks - silly question (but I am clueless on these things). I have been running a single U6-LR in my home for a few years and used my existing PC as the controller. It is time to replace my old PC and I believe the way to go in moving the controller across PC's is via the backup and...

All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Anyone knows if the Sunsynk.net site has been compromised? Last week Friday, via the app it shows my plant as offline and via the website all I got was a Page 404 error (refer the 2 screenshots - first it states no permission and then settles into a 404 error). I contacted their Help Desk via...

    Sudden Lithium Ion Battery discharge

Any advice/recommendations on the following issue would be appreciated: I have an 8.8 kva Sunsynk inverter and two 5.5 kw Hubble AM2 batteries (and 12 x 460 w solar panels). This is the second time since installation (May 2022) that I noticed my batteries drained downed to 0% (this morning it...

Issue with LED lights when Load Shed kicks in

I am running a solar system with Sunsynk Inverter and Hubble AM2 batteries. I have three rooms in the house that uses a 24 watt LED light (Eagle Lighting Ceiling Light) as per this link. In essence, my solar system is set up to be the primary source and when required, the system will use Eskom...

Some Guidance on a new Solar System Please

Thanks for the inputs thus far - money is a factor, but the Hubble Batteries, 8K Inverter and two more panels is still within my budget (if 2 more panels will do it ofc) - If I need more than than 2 additional panels (say 4), it is still manageable, but then some of my other "less important"...
