    Samsung 50" AU7000 for R7.50!!

This morning my sister was searching for a new TV when she noticed Samsung.com was advertising a 50" for a whopping R7.50!! At first she suspected this was some kind of scam but the more she look at it the more she realised it was legit. Anyway she went ahead and ordered the TV, paid R7.50 and...

Advise on 1km fibre line laying

@Polymathic, unfortunately, does not look like we are close to a Link Africa line. 3k is not bad at all. I know the company was looking at paying upwards of 20K for a 20Mbps microwave link a while back but the company still hasn't come to do a site survey!

Advise on 1km fibre line laying

They don't have coverage in the area. I have enquired with a few WISP's as well and none have got back to me with a definite answer. That's why we are now exploring the fibre route. Ideally, the company would like a 100Mbps line, 1Gbps if within their budget.

Advise on 1km fibre line laying

Yeah, think its a DFA backhaul line. I do however see a few other farms etc further way along the N1 have lines coming from that backhaul line. I'm sure a private contractor could do an install (trenching etc). There would be considerable demand from the farms (and businesses) in the area as the...

Advise on 1km fibre line laying

We stay on a farm about a 1km from the Dark Fibre Africa Line running along the N1 in the Cape Winelands. How would one go about getting a Fibre cable laid to the farm? The farm currently has businesses which are quite reliant stable internet however the WISP's in the area are not reliable at...
