    Yes we can connect while we're both on the same network, I haven't figured out how make an exception in the firewall and I'm honestly not even sure what the loop back does if I'm honest so I can't tell you.

    That's what we did, we used the ipconfig ipv4 address that was given and it doesn't work

    The ISP isn't blocking the port, is there something else that could have been done wrong with the setup of the port forwarding?

    The issue we're having is that the ports are not open for some reason, going to canyouseeme to test and it keeps saying connection times out when testing the port And we want to be able to play with my friend hosting, at his house while I'm at mine. We had it setup with my router and it worked...
