    Affordable backup power options to tackle load-shedding

    My desktop: PSU converts incoming AC to DC. Screen: Same thing. Bluetooth Speaker: same thing. So a battery pack and inverter takes DC and converts it to AC. Sends it to my devices. They all take the AC and convert it to DC. With power loss at each stage. Can't I cut out the middleman?

    In response to Eksdom's worsening situation and my broke state.. A Mecer Inverter is just over 2k, and a 280Wh Li_ion battery is about 1.5k. Will this not outperform 2x 100Wh lead acid batteries and work out cheaper?

    Solidworks crashes on startup

    The Solidworks certified technician gave up after an hour. So I went full retard and did a fresh Window$ install. Also scored 80 gigs extra on my SSD. But I'm pretty sure a .net removal tool and then .net re-install would have sorted it out.

    Hi Guys, it suddenly seems like Solidworks and some of my Autodesk products won't open. I know zero about these things, but I found this in the event log: I have tried the MS .net repair tool, but it says something like it can't fix the problem.
