Solidworks crashes on startup

Hi Guys, it suddenly seems like Solidworks and some of my Autodesk products won't open.
I know zero about these things, but I found this in the event log:


I have tried the MS .net repair tool, but it says something like it can't fix the problem.

Any updates applied? Can you go back to a previous restore point?

My understanding is that you have to manually enable restore points, which I never did. Gahh.
You are right, my Window$ updated yesterday.

Tried to install the latest version? Presumably you've got all your saved data somewhere that you can still open with the fresh install.

You need to install the latest .NET framework by the sounds of it.

The Solidworks certified technician gave up after an hour. So I went full retard and did a fresh Window$ install. Also scored 80 gigs extra on my SSD.
But I'm pretty sure a .net removal tool and then .net re-install would have sorted it out.
