Oh joyous of joyous days, I have finally seen results! They have deigned to order me a new sim - I have even been graced with a confirmation email!
And then they deigned to inform me that I have to pay them a delivery fee to correct their own **** up. And no, they can't tell me what sort of...
After days of frustration and agony
I’ve finally reached an epiphany
This business that claims such repute
Blinking it’s innocent eyes at me like a lamb
Is, in fact, nothing more than an elaborate scam
I wondered if this was the case - it would also explain the suddenly stupid waiting times (compared to my prior experiences, that is)
I hadn't committed yet, but I appreciate the suggestions! Those are some seriously good prices for some seriously good speeds compared to what I'm getting now...
Finally got through to a sales agent! Who promptly told me they weren't a sales agent, and wanted to know who transferred me to them
Edit: they've just told me I need to speak to onboarding. Who I'd spoken to earlier, and told me I needed to speak to sales
That might have been the most frustrating part. Getting bounced between multiple agents for no apparent reason, and every one of them saying, "how can I help you?" I don't know, how about you scroll up so I don't have to repeat myself for the literal fifth time? I was even reassured a few times...
Well. I suspect I'm not alone in my frustrations here ('frustrations' meaning 'murderous rampage only being kept in check by the fact that murder is illegal)
Prior to this week I had, honest to god, had no issues with both WebAfrica and my MTN LTE connection in three years. Customer support was...
Took me a hot minute to find the stats
SNR Upstream is 6dB
SNR downstream is 17.5dB
Line attenuation upstream 31.5 dB
Line attenuation downstream 30.5dB
I don't entirely understand it, but I take it it's not good?
Hi everyone!
We have a 10mps ADSL line (the max we can get) with Mweb. We've had it for about...ten years I guess? But over the years the speed and connection has become steadily worse, to the point where it's nigh unusable. We clock in an average of 0.25mbs download speed. I'm not entirely...
Hi everyone! I've been trying (and oh, how I've been trying...) to organise an internet connection for my place that has a decent speed + decent cap. Both myself and my housemate are students, so needless to say the internet prices have been something of a huge shock to me. ADSL isn't an option...
Went out my back door to find the ground littered with these. I've never seen them before? They look like the spawn of a prawn and a flea, and google didn't turn anything up. The largest was about a cm long. Anyone have any ideas?
(This is in Durban)
I just recently upgraded my MWEB adsl connection from a 4mbps to a 20mbps after barely being able to do the simplest of tasks. How long does it take on average for the new speed to take affect?
