Please show your network team this thread, and the several tickets that ISPs have open with FF containing complaints of latency/packet loss/congestion in the Western Cape.
I know the Southern Peninsula and the Garden Route are affected. Anyone else affected outside this area, please chime in here.
I also hope they manage to fix it - but from a public/customer perspective, they aren't even acknowledging that there is a problem.

yikes... I'm seriously considering cancelling my pre-order with FF and sticking to my 10mb ADSL line. Can't imagine having to watch youtube in 480p on a 100/100 line!

As far as I understand, a fibre line is a completely different product to your copper voice line. i.e. Openserve will connect your home to the fibre network and leave the existing copper lines untouched.
I have not looked into this but, there might be a way to port your existing landline over...
