@Frogfoot Fibre

Can we have an official word on what's happening with your network please?

Multiple customers in Cape Town are experiencing packet loss during peak hours and I see no mention of this on your status page.

I was going to tweet/X this message, but the website refuses to load on my 240/240mbit line that currently has 30% packet loss.

My ISP is not receiving any information from your teams besides requests for more "evidence".

There is a storm currently in the Western Cape.

RSAWeb lost all their Frogfoot traffic and the same time we saw a massive spike of incoming multicast traffic on the NNI....

RSAWeb clients went down at 19:53

WTAF is going on with this network? Did Vox not invest a ton of cash in Juniper gear and replace all the white box imported Chinese gear that used to run this network?

@Frogfoot Fibre can we have 1 month or even 1 week with stable connectivity. You are giving FTTH in SA a really bad name. Milnerton here. 2 years later. Same k@k different year. 20% loss, 5% loss no loss. To my ISP gateway @ Teraco, 10km away!

Fix your backhaul. Fix your backhaul. Fix your backhaul!

I am on various forums and we are all having to send graphs and iperfs and build our case. REALLY? Take some pride in what you do man.

Same thing happens here in Pretoria, absolutely garbage FNO each time mybb does a article about their investment into their network. Openserve waaay more stable

I must say I am growing ever more impatient with the network. I am curious where it went wrong? Most issues seem contained to the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape. I do hope that they come right.

Also experiencing crazy packet loss in peak hours on Frogfoot. Garden route.

Gettin real tired of this sh!%

I also hope they manage to fix it - but from a public/customer perspective, they aren't even acknowledging that there is a problem.

The most frustrating part of this all for me is imagining the amount of cumulative man-hours spent wasted by customers and ISPs having to test their lines, send print screens, log tickets, update tickets, more tests, back-and-forth etc etc etc. When all that time could have been saved by a simple acknowledgement that there is a problem and that they are fixing it.

Good morning, my apologies for the inconveinece caused, could I ask that you please DM me your details so that I can investigate this and provide you with feedback.

Please show your network team this thread, and the several tickets that ISPs have open with FF containing complaints of latency/packet loss/congestion in the Western Cape.

I know the Southern Peninsula and the Garden Route are affected. Anyone else affected outside this area, please chime in here.

This is really shocking.

There has been ongoing issue of increased latency and packet loss for about 3 months. Firstly there was an NLD issue, which causes Goodwood node traffic to redirect or something like that. The other night you guys had a broadcast storm.

Like seriously, if you want me to spam your [email protected] email address each time my ping goes above 10ms to the NNI device, then so be it.

But based on my own personal observation speaking to people at your org, feedback from an ISP rep who's been chasing this day and night I can clearly say that Frogfoot (the org) has got one massive issue of internal communication. Like does absolutely no one at your org actually take pride in their work? Or even look at old historical ticket in order to form a pattern.

I've got screenshot from coming from your system, showing major issues. Plus let's not forget about the fact that you guys are actually aware of the problem, but it's at your tier 3 team. So please, for sake of every single consumer you have on your network. STOP! with this on going sense that nothing is wrong when there is clearly loads of users complaining with each user having multiple evidence (ping, traceroute, pingplotter you name it)

#RantOver

But seriously, if you guys got sort out this on going situation within this up coming month. I am going to ask the body corp to break your 10 year agreement, and get another FNO in
