Honest answer to this (at least from me) is no. Its all about the quality of education, names mean fsckall at the end of the day.

Agreed, in this case it’s probably a good idea though, get rid of the old apartheid leader’s name but don’t change it after a terrorist/struggle fighter* either, give the school a geographic name.

*delete as applicable dependent on political view
