DStv announces price increases

MultiChoice has announced its annual DStv price adjustments that will kick in on 1 April 2023.

Prices will increase by an average of 4.3% across DStv’s satellite pay-TV portfolio.

I cancelled mine 4 years ago. Assholes started calling me about 4 weeks ago and does it about 10 times a day. Everytime from a different number, so can't block all of them.

"These nominal adjustments help DStv to ensure that South Africans continue to enjoy the best value and unrivalled access to entertainment, anywhere, anytime, and at the most affordable price.”

What a load of nonsense...
to be fair, with the way streaming services are going. It's looking like they might not be far off.

Just tell them you will log a case with the police for harassment if they continue.

I would get a new phone. First time I hear about a phone having a limit to the amount of numbers it can block.

They are really milking this dying cow for years!! Always repeats and every year price increases. Channels get dropped. All that keeps them afloat is Sport. Why do they not listen what people want and make the Stay package @ R390 pm available to general public? This includes All Sport channels as well as major premium channels. People want to watch Sport, not the other shyte!! They will see a massive increase in subscribers. But No!! They want to milk the few left and eventually chase them away. Like this, they will soon be out of business and close down!!

I just don't understand, I have zero interest it having dstv, so I don't give a sht what they do.
But why all these complaining on the dstv threads always? You all wish you had dstv?
I would love DSTV, albeit only for the sport. At ~900 p/m, it's just not worth it for me to watch the odd rugby/cricket match.

I wish they would decouple the sports from the rest of the garbage

Well the Sport is what costing them the big money, all the other garbage is worth R100/m like Netflix and Disney.
So would you then pay R800/m?
I luckily weened myself of most sport. It is actually great not to worry about what game is when over the weekends. It is great not having endless negativity listening to all the politic discussions around sport. I could not care who play rugby this weekend and who wins.
Its like watching Soaps on tv. You plan your days around it, you live it. Then one day you decide to stop. Within a few months you could not care less and can't believe you wasted so much time over the years on that shyte. Its an addiction
I still like my F1 and spending 2 hours around twice a month is more than enough time wasting watching sport. And you can get F1tv for around R800 for the year.
