The DA were stuck in a coalition that wasn't exactly helping. Same as in JHB and why voting in smaller parties just leads to the ANC running the place

Tshwane was different, unlike JHB and Ekurhuleni they were not reliant on the EFF support, they failed on their own with their trusted coalition partners, ActionSA, ACDP, IFP and the Freedom Front behind them.

Solly was good then they kicked him out cause he was making the JHB mayor look like a cake walk. No man DA brought this city down onto its knees. ANC did a better job, they stole, but they fixed the potholes and cut the grass and did something. DA... pfft

Was worse with the ANC.
The muni had to battle ANC administrators that was employed on long term contracts just before the DA took over. It has been an uphill battle.
If voters followed the local politics more closely they would have known much more. Like the diesel contract for the busses. Much more were going on than what the media reports. And when they do correct the statements in the media the da are told they are making excuses.
They were not perfect but things were slowly ticking up.
Like the water shedding, the DA contracted diesel powered pumps to help fill up
Reservoirs when Rand water had issues with Loadshedding. Its not reported on though.
Yes there are shyt things as well like the financial reports.
