Which would you pick vs this Hisense?

I had the 65" U7H and wasn't impressed with it at all. I'd say put R2k extra and get the 50" QN90B.

Even though its a slightly smaller at 50" vs 55", the Samsung superior by miles. The 55" Hisense has 32 local dimming zones while the 50" Samsung has 420 zones. The Samsung 43" and 50" can also do 4K@144hz and have Freesync Premium Pro, so that's a bonus if you're gonna use it and they also have 4 x HDMI 2.1 ports. I have a 55" QN90B an its brilliant!

I agree. There is a lot of love for Hisense on MyBB, and they tend to be well-priced. But we have one and I cannot get used to the way Hisense processes colour.

Thanks. I checked Takealot and Cape Union and they were 450+. Makro and Builders did not even have them on the shelf.
I no longer use Takealot for price benchmarking, due to the 3rd party price gouging.

I mean, this sold for R880 at one point on Takealot

I see Scapy has added a "listing price" tracker... great enhancement (this is for the above TV)View attachment 1486227
It's always been there. I just recently enabled it by default because I realized people didn't know you can click the "Price" and "Listing Price" to show/hide them. Let me know if you guys can think of any other features to add.

Hmm. The one review posted so far doesn't instill confidence in purchasing that beast.
Indeed but that could be a faulty unit, but since this is an MBA(Made by AMD) version there is a possibility of these cards being affected by the 110C Hotspot issue. Source
That said, since it's Takealot selling it, return should be relatively easy if there is an issue.

On the other hand if you are spending 22K on a GPU you may just be willing to spend R23.5K and get an XFX Merc from Wootware which is a much better card.
