6750xt for a very reasonable price on Amazon.com. I have a rx5700 that's starting to show its age and am tempted to throw this onto my CC.
As expected, Takealot updates their pricing to undercut Amazon. That didn't take long lol. They did the same with the Philips Oneblade specialOr you could buy the 1TB Seagate external SSD now locally for R1116
Seagate One Touch 1TB 2.5-Inch USB 3.0 Portable External Solid State Drive
Description says "Mini USB 3.0" but photo shows Type C so who knows.
Has anybody else noticed the quality of product descriptions on amazon.co.za is pretty poor, in general?
I've unfortunately had to work with Takealot and I'd think this is more Seagate doing a promotion with both retailers. Tomorrow Takealots birthday specials start so logic would have said they would have dropped it tomorrow. I dealt with them for about 3 years and they were beyond useless at doing anything. Unless that has changed since we moved to marketplace and Amazon has kicked them into gear. We were forced to move to marketplace because they were so unless always saying how they couldn't compete price wise with other retailers because their margin was too lowAs expected, Takealot updates their pricing to undercut Amazon. It has definitely changed recently. There are multiple items Amazon has on daily deals that were quickly price matched by Takealot shortly after. Air fryers, Garmin watches etc. I'm guessing they have someone dedicated to the task.I've unfortunately had to work with Takealot and I'd think this is more Seagate doing a promotion with both retailers. Could be that suppliers are running the same promos on both platforms consecutively. It has definitely changed recently. Possible, but unlikely based on the varied items.Could be that suppliers are running the same promos on both platforms consecutively.
Why not both? Takealot gets the same deal, and then they set their markup to match Amazon’s.Possible, but unlikely based on the varied items.
It's not a question whether the supplier runs the promotion on both platforms or only one, it's a matter of the vast number of extremely different items that takealot suddenly price drops when Amazon has it on special, that makes it unlikely that every item is a supplier run promotion..Why not both? Whats the benefit of having an external 2.5" SSD vs external 2.5" HDD? Would it purely be longevity and capacity to take a knock or being dropped on the floor? I am however assuming that USB 3.0 throughput is going to be the bottleneck and speed within the drive itself being a non-factor due to that.
What i can say and i sell to Amazon is they specifically told us they will look at their competitor "LIKE Takealot" and just price match them. They won't have their own unique pricing. This is what they told us and when they launched our products were set at my personal Takealot marketplace prices which i was running a special deal on at the time, so i do suspect they both looking at each otherIt's not a question whether the supplier runs the promotion on both platforms or only one, it's a matter of the vast number of extremely different items that takealot suddenly price drops when Amazon has it on special, that makes it unlikely that every item is a supplier run promotion..
