People complaining about Amazon prices: remember that many/most of the offers on there is from third party vendors, who also determine the offer prices.
Sorry to break it to you, but unless it's specifically an Amazon branded item or a high volume/high value item that they've deemed worthy to stock themselves, then you're still probably buying it from the same merchant who's also offering it to you via Takealot...

The company I work for had Amazon buy our products and they chose their own price to sell it at. They specifically said to us they will look at competitors prices and match it. They looked at our Takealot prices which I happened to be promoting with and matched those prices..Their rebates and allowances are kinda a joke though...
