Most probably ANC membas will go El Desperado and start killing IFP membas in order to intimidate them and get them to vote for the ANC instead?

Sad if that will happen, because it'll spark big troubles.

If you take a gander at their score from 2021 and you look at the absolute hammering they gave ANC and EFF since then in KZN, it's not impossible to see them at 22 - 25% (more even) next year.
To challenge the ANC they would need to more than double their 16% from '19. If they can only do 22/25% then that is not going to get them anywhere near challenging the ANC and their coalition of smaller parties plus the EFF.

This is an anecdote, but a while back some people we know from NMB came to stay over for a night for a local sporting event before heading back.

And the topic of a convo at one point was about the state of NMB and the one oke basically said this:
The DA (coalition) is making moves but it's still a shitshow.

So what I took from that at least is at least the UF in NMB is working towards making things better but also the absolute shite state of NMB.

I mean if IFP were to strike around 25%, and DA around 15%. That's already 40% (they've already confirmed they'll work together in KZN next year). So they'd need around 10% to govern.

If all the others like ASA, VF+, ACDP, etc actually pull their weight, it wouldn't be impossible to see a UF government take KZN next year, with IFP being the anchor.

True, I wasn't being serious, although him being a Speaker could have worked in his advantage if the MEC or the Municipal Manager were sleeping on the job, he was not going to rat himself out.
And he is byack. He probably had that certificate with him and was just waiting to see what happens.

Murunwa Makwarela back as Tshwane mayor after producing insolvency clearance

Murunwa Makwarela has been reinstated as Tshwane mayor after he was able to produce a certificate proving he is a rehabilitated insolvent. Makwarela was disqualified as a councillor after he could not produce proof to Tshwane City Manager Johann Mettler that he was rehabilitated after he was declared insolvent and sequestrated in August 2016.

I wish I could roll my eyes harder.

In a statement published on Tuesday evening, the PA said the three Oudtshoorn-based parties working with it were the Oudtshoorn Gemeenskaps Inisiatief (OGI), Advieskantoor and Saamstaan. According to the statement, “all three party leaders appeared alongside PA president Gayton McKenzie wearing PA t-shirts”.

McKenzie said the reason for the working relationship, referred to by the PA as a “merger”, was to “defeat both the DA and the ANC in the Western Cape”.

Do you guys still not have a government?
We do. A UF coalition.
With that Nyuka guy now under trial (it's a whole shitshow between him and his party), the coalition might lose its majority if he gets jailed, seeing that his party (Saamstaan) have firmly crawled up the PA's ass and by extension, the ANC's.

And things are actually getting done here (ever so slowly anyway), but the moment the ANC coalition returns, everything will crawl to a halt again and regress.
