That would be brilliant news, but unfortunately their very long track record paints a different picture.

That is my "stumbling" block as well... the track record/zondo commission/etc paint a very different picture as to what is likely going on.
 
You would think the ANC could have just paid the cartels to go away altogether and save themselves the ongoing embarrassment they have had to suffer to this point and risk them losing next year's election. All they had to do was tell the cartels to lay it off until after the election and they could resume regularly scheduled programming after the ANC creams the opposition. But no, that's too simple an explanation.
So you still don't understand who is controlling these cartels?

This is exactly the point behind cadre deployment! That is how they control everything they touch.
 
That's why we have an ANC/DA coalition for 2024, you think John and Cyril are just sitting there looking pretty? They are working hard behind the scenes to put South Africa first.
I can't think offhand of any politician that would put anything ahead of himself.
