Massive blow to DStv's SuperSport

DStv's SuperSport will no longer broadcast the world's most popular domestic cricket tournament — the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In a statement on Thursday, the broadcaster said discussions with the IPL broadcasting rights holder had been unsuccessful, and SuperSport would, therefore, not broadcast the tournament from 2023.

Meh, never really watched it anyway, but yeah, I wonder if someone out bid them, it seems odd that the IPL would be okay to let the revenue go unless there was another bidder.

Would be interesting to see their viewership numbers. Watch plenty of sports but I don't watch these T20 leagues.

The high seas and IPTV is still there. No losses either way. I still do not see the need to sign up to more 3rd and 4th parties when you already have access to IPTV and the high seas.
