Apple Watch thread

The battery confuses me.

So most days I train in the morning, so usually I’ll use like 10-15, maybe 20% battery for that day.

The confusing part is in the days I don’t train, or train in the afternoon, on those days I kill 50% easily.

Like how does it use more battery doing nothing… lol

Apple to make a UI design overhaul with watchOS 10

According to a new report by Mark Gurman for Bloomberg, Apple's watchOS 10 update will steal the spotlight during this year's WWDC scheduled for June 5. Reportedly, the company will announce a big design and feature overhaul with watchOS 10.

There are a couple of solid arguments why this will likely happen. First off, the hardware upgrade for this year's Apple Watch is rumored to be quite modest. so Apple is looking for a way to persuade new buyers or existing users to upgrade. Secondly, the new iOS 17 update will bring only a handful of new features and optimizations. And thirdly, the watchOS has stayed relatively static for the past few years. So it's time for a significant upgrade.

No thanks. Happy with the UI as is. Just fix the battery life Apple!
What's wrong with the battery life? I end the day with 60%+ now that I've disabled the always on display.

What's your battery health like?

Just ordered a series 8, gps only, I work from home, but exercise quite a bit (3-4 times a week)
Bought the wife a SE model last year and she's just mad about it, can't live without it.
Thought i'd treat myself to one.

However, I've ordered the 45mm, but the wrists, well they're on the small side, 175mm when hands are closed, 177mm when hands are open. Following websites and youtube channels, it should be fine. Maybe you gents and gals can confirm this. If it's "TOO" big, then i'll have to make a plan and get the 41mm (the wife's 41mm seemed ok on my arm, on the smaller side)

Nah. You’ll be good.

I started with the small one and upgraded to the bigger one on the next cycle and it’s just so much better.

More screen real estate and just generally so much more usable.

Enjoying it so far, quite a lot to take in, never thought a smartwatch could have this much to set and amend.
As for apps to download, I'll need to google and play around.

Watch doesn't feel heavy on my wrist, I was scared of that

Even if it feels a bit big the way the screen gets cut off on the smaller one is way more annoying.

My biggest worry was wearing it under gloves but didn’t make much of a difference really.

Quite accurate, the wife now wants a 41mm or 44mm haha, she wore mine for a bit and loved the larger display
Told her what I paid (That stirred a new conversation on it's own) and she's thinking about it.
Might spoil her on her birthday

I’m getting that next.

Here is a teaser.

Ignore the thin hairy arms.

Someone commented if it was a problem with smaller wrists. I was also concerned as well but just went ahead and got one
