Then can go line-up outside De Ruyters house and ask him for a raise from his personal cash.

Eskom workers want 15% pay increase

The National Union of Mineworkers wants a 15% wage increase for all Eskom workers along with housing and other benefits.

Yeah GFY NUM, and Solidarity can also GFY with its 3% above inflation request.

You can get your 15% increase, if there is a 30% reduction in workforce at Eskom.

Oh and the 15% only kicks in when the country has had no loadshedding for a duration of at least 18 months.

Increased sabotage and load shedding until they get what they want ......

hahahaha, the village idiot managed to mention ADR

I can live with this. Someone should send the above to Cyril.

For me, its actually a no brainer really... you want increases, then there are performance clauses attached to it... the fact that there aren't just baffles me.

In the private sector if you just do your job you can probably (in an ideal world) get an inflation matching increase, if you shoot the lights out you can get inflation +.... if shyte is going backwards then you get zero plus the possibility of disciplinary processes, and we all know that Eskom is going backwards.

How is this reasonable. The company is on the brink of collapse as well as taking the entire country down and they want 15%?

I work for a top performing organization, not without its problems, but generally regarded as one of the better places to work in the country and although our 6% (across the board) is poor compared to inflation, most are content considering the macro economy.

Cos you guys are fully aware that if you push the org to far, they'll just collapse.

These union muppets don't seem to get that basic point. The state must just pay.

I am all for this. S**t place to work at. They should have asked for more! Strike and collapse the utility until the taxpayer pays this increase.
